Club with £20m budget revealed as competitors for Sheffield United target’s signature

It has been revealed that Birmingham City are one of the sides who are trying to sign Peterborough United star Harrison Burrows along with Preston North End and Sheffield United.

According to transfer insider Darren Witcoop, Sheffield United have had an offer tabled for a while for the 22-year-old, but due to the takeover situation it has meant that the Blades have stalled negotiations until the ownership issue has been resolved. This has prompted both Birmingham City, Preston and one other unnamed club to jump in the mix.

The Blues reportedly have a budget of £20 million at their disposal to try and get out of League One at the first time of asking, so they have plenty of money to acquire the talented left-back.

Darren Ferguson has recently claimed it is very unlikely that Burrows will be with the Posh come the end of the summer transfer window.
