Sheffield United are set to sell some key assets this summer following their relegation from the Premier League. It is thought the club will look to cash in on Anel Ahmedhodzic and Vinicius Souza to help fund a major summer rebuild at the club.
Ahmedhodzic has already been a name linked with a departure in the upcoming transfer window, and the Blades look set to receive a big profit. The Bosnian international reportedly has a £17 million relegation release clause written in his contract. And we know that Napoli were keen on him back in January.
It is also now being reported that Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza could be on his way to European giants AC Milan this summer, as per Rudy Galetti.
Sheffield United looked as though they were getting a monster defensive midfielder when they signed Souza in the summer from Lommel for an estimated fee of £10 million. However, that has far from been the case, and some supporters believe he has been one of the worst signings in the team’s recent history.
Despite his inconsistent performances and a second relegation in a row on his CV, it has evidently not deterred Milan and the report claims the Italian giants see Souza as the number one choice for a new defensive midfielder.
I’ll carry him there on my back, backwards over broken glass
