Amidst the disastrous Premier League campaign they’re suffering on the pitch, Sheffield United are beginning to finally work on infrastructure in the background which will hold the club in good stead.
The Blades have already announced that they have an agreement in place to purchase the land in which the HSBC Sports and Social Club in Dore resides. And now they have ticked another thing off their checklist.
Via the club’s website, Owner Prince Abdullah and the Sheffield United board of directors have given the green light for the redevelopment of the hotel at Bramall Lane. Teaming up with Leaf Hospitality, the new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel is set to become a vibrant establishment at the center of the community.
Construction has begun on reopening the hotel situated at S2, and guests are anticipated to be greeted back starting from late summer 2024.
Sheffield United are making plans
It seems as though we’ve been waiting on news regarding both the re-opening of the hotel as well as finding a site for a new training complex for the first-team. But this week the club have finally released some much-needed positive information on both fronts.
These actions will have a huge impact on the club’s future so it serves as no surprise that Sheffield United have had hopes of completing these two tasks for the last few years.
