Arsenal to be handed major injury boost ahead of visit to Bramall Lane

Arsenal could be on the brink of a significant injury boost as Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey are reportedly intensifying their efforts to regain full fitness. This development suggests they may be available for selection in Arsenal’s upcoming match against Sheffield United.

Despite coping admirably amidst a string of injuries, Mikel Arteta’s squad has been tested, with notable absences including Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Fabio Vieira. Additionally, Jurrien Timber has been sidelined for nearly the entire season, further challenging the team’s depth.

The potential return of Zinchenko and Partey would be highly anticipated by Arsenal, and according to the Evening Standard, both players are making concerted efforts to ensure their availability for the team’s upcoming clash against Sheffield United next Monday.

In addition, Arsenal welcomed back Gabriel Jesus last weekend, as the striker returned to the squad after being sidelined since the end of the previous month. Although he was available as a substitute, he remained unused. Jesus had been battling a flare-up in his knee during his time out.

The squad have been granted Sunday and Monday off following their matches against Porto and Newcastle within a four-day span last week.

In Sheffield United’s last three home games in all competitions, they have conceded five goals in each of them, so welcoming a team like Arsenal who have scored three or more in their last four Premier League matches.
