According to reports from Anfield Watch, Liverpool have been keeping tabs on Sheffield United’s promising 19-year-old midfielder Oli Arblaster. The young talent spent the first half of the 2023/24 season on loan at League One club Port Vale.
Arblaster, who debuted for Sheffield United’s first team last season, featured in four Championship matches. Despite this, he has not yet played in the Premier League. Last summer, he embarked on a season-long loan to Port Vale, where he became a regular in the squad until December, accumulating 26 appearances across all competitions and scoring two goals.
Arblaster, who has always been a passionate Sheffield United supporter, was subsequently called back by the Blades for the latter half of the 2023/24 season. There’s speculation that he might soon make his debut in the Premier League.
Renowned for his technical prowess, Arblaster is recognised as a talented midfielder. He has previously represented England at both the Under-18 and Under-20 levels, showcasing his potential on the international stage.
Furthermore, top talented young goalkeeper Luke Faxon has also been subject to a move to some of the best football clubs in England. Recent reports from the Daily Mail suggest that Manchester United, Manchester City and even Liverpool are keeping tabs on his progress.
