According to reports, Sheffield United are among the numerous clubs showing interest in Adam Berry, a former Manchester United prodigy. The 17-year-old departed Old Trafford recently, with FootballTransfers confirming the Blades’ interest in signing him.
Berry showcased his talent during his 12-year tenure in the academy at Manchester United. However, he expressed a desire for more playing opportunities elsewhere, prompting his departure from the club.
Following his departure from Manchester United, Berry is currently undergoing a trial at Nottingham Forest, as confirmed by FootballTransfers on Wednesday.
According to the report, several Premier League clubs, including Sheffield United, as well as Scottish powerhouse Celtic, are closely monitoring the highly-rated youngster. Blackburn Rovers have also been mentioned as one of the interested parties.
Berry, who was part of the Manchester United Under-16s team last season, achieved a remarkable feat by making his Under-18s debut in August 2021 against Manchester City at the age of 15.
During the previous campaign, Berry appeared five times as a substitute for the Under-18s, before establishing himself as a regular starter this season.
His talent has also been acknowledged on the national stage, as he has earned call-ups to both the England Under-16s and Under-17s squads.
