Sheffield United linked with French U21 international

In a rather unusual transfer rumour surfacing this month, Sheffield United are now reportedly considering a move for Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey. The 23-year-old French full-back has been performing impressively for the Turkish giants in recent seasons, garnering interest from several Premier League clubs.

Top clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly showing interest in securing the services of Sacha Boey. The talented full-back, who could be attainable for a fee in the region of £17 million, has now caught the attention of Sheffield United as well, according to Turkish media reports.

Turkish journalist Kutlu Akpinar has revealed that Sheffield United took an early initiative in the transfer window by submitting a proposal to Galatasaray to explore the possibility of acquiring Sacha Boey.

Akpinar shared this information during a discussion on the Turkish YouTube channel Eski Acik, shedding light on Sheffield United’s keen interest in the French full-back.

A potential stumbling block in the negotiations is the asking price, with Galatasaray reportedly seeking £17 million for Boey.

This transfer rumour seems completely unrealistic, given the price and his position (right-back). Unless the Blades are willing to send players as part of the deal, I don’t see this coming true, even though it is from a reputable journalist.

Sheffield United have also been linked with a move for out of favour Everton defender Ben Godfrey.
