Danny Murphy has praised Sheffield United forward Cameron Archer as a ‘special talent’ for his impressive goal against Wolves. Archer, who joined from Aston Villa in the summer, scored a fantastic goal from outside the area that hit the bar and went in, opening the scoring for Sheffield United. This goal played a pivotal role in sparking the Blades into life, in order to get their first Premier League win of the season, secured by Oliver Norwood’s penalty in the 100th minute.
Archer had also scored on his debut in a 2-2 home draw with Everton, where he was unfortunate not to be credited with a brace, as his second attempt hit the post and deflected in off Jordan Pickford. Former Liverpool and England midfielder Danny Murphy has been impressed with Archer’s performances and felt that a Sheffield United win was on the horizon of late. And now they have their first three points of the season.
The Match of The Day pundit stated on last night’s show: “They have been in a lot of games this season. They have not been hammered every week, that’s for sure. Cameron Archer, a real talent, he arrows this one home and what a goal for the young lad.”
