Paul Merson: “nightmare” for Sheffield United vs Wolves

Paul Merson has once again shared his Premier League predictions, showing pessimism for Sheffield United as they prepare for the visit of Wolves.

Under the guidance of Gary O’Neil, Wolves have maintained their impressive form with an unbeaten streak of five Premier League matches. This has significantly improved their league position, currently residing in 12th place with a seven-point advantage over the bottom three.

However, the main concern arising from that game is the injury worry surrounding Pedro Neto. The club seems hopeful that Neto will return relatively soon, possibly by the end of the year. In the upcoming weekend’s match against Sheffield United, Wolves will miss Neto, which will undoubtedly affect their performance.

The Blades are hoping to get their first win on the board in an attempt to stop their six-match losing streak. They will receive a boost to the defence with Greek international George Baldock ready to start again after recovering from his calf problem.

Nonetheless, Paul Merson remains confident in the away team’s ability to secure a victory. In his weekly predictions column on SportsKeeda, Merson has endorsed Wolves and praised Gary O’Neil.

“Sheffield United would have looked at this game three or four weeks ago and earmarked it as a winnable game, but Wolves are flying at the moment, making this one a bit of a nightmare for the Bees.”

The Sky Sports pundit believes Wolverhampton Wanderers will win by a 3-1 scoreline.
