Sheffield United has secured a significant contract extension as promising young talent Will Osula commits to a new long-term deal at Bramall Lane. The Denmark youth international, considered one of the brightest prospects from the Blades’ academy, made his Premier League debut earlier this season. Osula has now inked an extended agreement, keeping him contracted to the club until 2027.
The youngster said: “This is a big day for me and I’m grateful. The last couple of years have been good, it has been a learning curve and I’m enjoying the experience. It was amazing to play in the first three games, I was happy to be involved because it is a dream to play in the Premier League.” [SUTV]
Osula was forced into starting for United in the first few games of the season due to injuries and the lack of depth in forward positions. Although he didn’t score against Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, he did have some bright moments in a couple of those matches considering he is still developing physically while learning tactically about the senior game.

Following the recent transfer window, securing a new contract for Osula has been a top priority for manager Paul Heckingbottom, who expressed his thoughts on the youngster’s new deal:
“This is something we have been working on for a long time. Will is someone the club values highly. Unfortunately, he’s injured at the minute or he would be involved with the first team now, but this is good business in protecting what could potentially be a valuable asset.”
