David Moyes gives the Blades “a lot of credit” after West Ham loss

After losing 2-0 to West Ham, David Moyes came out and gave some encouraging praise to Sheffield United despite them falling to a sixth defeat in seven Premier League games.

Moyes stated: “I think to come up to the Premier League and be ready, unless you really have the financial stuff to compete with the teams it becomes really difficult. A lot of the teams can’t do that and understand why. I have to say I thought Sheffield United and their manager did a good job. The team played very well and the team did a lot of good things today.

“A lot of credit has to go to them and their manager because they’ve had a really difficult week on the back of a bad defeat and having to get their chin up. They put in a good performance and did a lot of good things. But we got the goals which is what the Premier League is all about and as a manager what it’s all about.” [TalkSPORT]

Pressure will be on Sheffield United to get something out of the game against Fulham at Craven Cottage because they face Manchester United and Arsenal after the international break. Without trying to be negative, there is a strong possibility the Blades could be sat on one point after ten games played.
