Huge injury worry for Tottenham Hotspur & Sheffield United

This coming Saturday, Sheffield United travel to London to take on the in-form Tottenham Hotspur. Ange Postecoglu has got Spurs firing on all cylinders through the early weeks of the season but they will be without three players against the Blades.

Meanwhile, Paul Heckingbottom is also crossing his fingers in hope that the injury-troubled duo George Baldock and Anel Ahmedhodzic will be available for selection. The club captain John Egan, who suffered heavy knocks in the Everton game pre international break, has since started two games for Ireland.

Spurs are still eagerly awaiting the return of Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, and Bryan Gil to action, per Football London. This trio has been absent for an extended period, with Bentancur, in particular, potentially facing several months on the sideline.

Richarlison, who was on the bench during the 5-2 victory against Burnley following a minor injury in the Carabao Cup loss to Fulham, has now resumed playing for Brazil. However, his luck in front of the goal hasn’t improved, as he was seen in tears on the bench after being substituted during their 5-1 win over Bolivia.

Postecoglou is hopeful that a fully fit and in-form Richarlison can return to Tottenham in time for the upcoming match against Sheffield United on Saturday.
