Sheffield United’s English striker Billy Sharp celebrates scoring the team’s second goal during the English FA Cup fourth round-replay football match between Sheffield United and Wrexham at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, northern England, on February 7, 2023.

Despite experiencing limited playtime with Sheffield United in the previous season, Sharp expressed a strong desire to continue with his boyhood team in the Premier League. However, due to circumstances at the club, the two parties could not agree on a contract extension.

Sharp is on the brink of embarking on a new beginning, setting the stage for a move to the MLS to finish off his distinguished career on another continent.

Across the span of his professional career, Sharp has netted an impressive aggregate of 130 goals in 399 Championship matches, while also contributing an additional 48 assists. In totality, his remarkable achievements encompass 266 goals across 691 games, accompanied by a notable tally of 75 assists [Transfermarkt].
