Oli Arblaster impressing on full debut for Port Vale

Oli Arblaster has already got Port Vale supporters raving about him following his outstanding performance against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup, on Tuesday evening.

Sheffield United fans know of Arblaster during spells in the senior matchday squad having made four Championship appearances last season [SofaScore]. Mainly though, he has demonstrated his qualities with United’s development team.

After a disappointing first appearance for Vale in the league, in a 7-0 defeat to Barnsley, Arblaster made his full debut on Tuesday night and was even credited with an assist. The midfielder helped Port Vale dictate the game during their 3-2 win, registering three key passes [SofaScore]. To add, the youngster could’ve found himself on the scoresheet as well.

Overall, the majority of the Port Vale fans have labelled Arblaster as an exciting player to keep an eye on as the coming weeks progress.

The 19-year-old had to settle for a substitute appearance in the league last weekend, but after his midweek performance he may well be in line to start against Reading on Saturday.
